a lebanese feast

Lebanese has always been one of my favorite cuisines. I know how to cook all the wonderful mezza I love to eat thanks to the mother of S, a lebanese guy I used to date years ago. But today, I didn't need to cook to eat them all, as I bought kibbeh, tabouli, grape leaves, fatayer, labneh, and hommous from a delicious lebanese traiteur I plan to visit often! What a feast =)

Post diet

I am very happy to tell you that M and I are done with the Max Planck diet. We followed the two week plan, M hardly survived the very hard first week (unlike me, he had never followed a strict diet before and lacked his carbs for lunch and dinner), but the second week went by much better. I on the other hand have to say that I found the diet quite easy and was rarely hungry in between meals. But although I ate and suffered less, I of course also lost less: M lost 5 kg and I lost 4.

All in all a successful and quite interesting experience. We are now back to a normal balanced diet and of course regular sports. The last thing we'd want want is to gain all that weight back! Unless of course we weigh ourselves up side down from now on ;-)

Cravings

Why am I so hungry and craving junk food these days? These days when the bikini season is right around the corner and I should be dieting and exercising instead. Knowing that I wouldn't even look like her, as I am certainly not planning on retiring, hiring a personal trainer and having plastic surgery.

But really, why do I go from craving to dieting phases uncontrollably? Yes, I know it is mental and I am obviously going through a phase of anxious cravings in my life in general, but if anyone has any magic trick to successfully change my chip mode, I beg you to please share it with me!
